Xtender on a Wilcock Mullarkey

Has anyone been able to fit their Mullarkey with an Xtender of any sort? The hole is 16mm and from what I can tell the Hipshot ones (I'm looking at the ultralite ones) are either 15 or 17mm.

Viv seems to use a few different types of tuners, so some of this depends on what's on your bass.  I find that Viv is very responsive so maybe a quick message to him would help to clarify what's available or possible workarounds?
