Loopers?

Can anyone recommend what they use? 
 

I used to have an Akai Headrush II but there was so much other stuff in it that I had to get the manual out every time I used it. It was pretty good but I can’t deal with too much tech while I’m playing and recording. 

 

Does anyone know any good, easy-to-use looper pedals? Any recommendations will be greatly received. Thank you in advice BC community 🙏

For a decent quality budget looper, happy to recommend the Lekato looper.  It can record 9 loops with overdubbing and 40 mins recording time. Also has a built in tuner. Available for around 50 Euros.

Of the hundreds of pedal board pics ive seen in the last few years, the most popular choice seems to be the tc electronic ditto series followed fairly closely by the boss RC series.

 

Obviously there is a chasm between the two as far as cost/features with yhe BOSS doing more but also much more expensive.

I have a Ditto Looper (but tbh it is redundant as I have one built into my Plethora X5) and it is simple to use, you just need to get used to how many times you are tapping it.

I also use a looper in my x3.

 

I feel like it isnt considered a ditto though. It is the one plethora "pedal" that i dont think is exactly like another product.

Son has been messin' with the looper on the Zoom B1on... 30 Secs.

My love of the Joyo continues...

Picked this up for cheapish, don't think the get any simpler... or smaller... 30 mins.

I've used lots of loopers over the years but the Ditto X2 hasn't budged from my pedalboard since 2017.

I think I’ve narrowed it down to the cheapest Ditto or a Joyo Aquarius or Ironloop pedal. Or a preowned Boss if I can find one that hasn’t been absolutely thrashed. It’s only ever going to see studio use but they all look pretty good. 

 

Edit: just remembered I had a Digitech Jamman Solo XT looper pedal for about 5 minutes many years ago but there was a latency issue with it and it was really hard to get accurate loops down on it. And the build quality truly was shockingly poor. Sent it back to the dealer. Not sure if I just got a duff one, but I’m not tempted to revisit one. Boss, Ditto or Joyo I reckon. Or an Ironloop if I can find one. Thank you everyone, you are brilliant. Have an ace weekend 👍

I bought a Boss RC30 for my youngest, courtesy of @SamIAm and it's great. It might be a little big/expensive if you're only wanting to mess around to start off with, but if you're planning on using them a lot, it's definitely worth a look.

 

I was recommended that one over the newer version, as apparently the newer ones can be trickier to use.
