ProjeKtWEREWOLF Posted April 17, 2024 Posted April 17, 2024 Advice needed on Peavey 115 BW This is sort of related to another if my posts. I picked up a Peavey Nashville 115e 1x15 cabinet for £30. I'd hoped to use it as an extension cabinet with my 2x12. I had no idea what it was before I collected it! There's almost no information on this thing online. *maybe* it was made for pedal steel (hence the Nashville thing). Sounds decent enough with my small guitar head and 7 string. Can anyone tell me what the impedance on the speaker is, or at least how to find out myself, please? Thank you all. Quote

No idea about the impedance. Need to remove the back and disconnect the speaker wired according to the guide I found. Not today, Satan. It's a guitar speaker. The tweed version seems to be a pedal steel cab, but this is a straight guitar cab. This will be what it gets used for. My first mistake was assuming BW= bass. Amateurish error. Quote

Looks like some BWs had multiple uses. Check the model number if you can. Not sure if you could customise the cab to become a bass cab if the speaker was bass compatible, but there are those on here who could advise. Quote
Bill Fitzmaurice Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 The name 'Nashville' says it all. That's the home of country music, pedal steel is the instrument of country music. Peavey also made a Nashville 112 and Nashville combos, all for pedal steel. Quote

Theres a photo of the ID label (from the underside of the cab) in the OP. Quote
