Jo.gwillim Posted February 14 Posted February 14 getting the hang of it now. dissappointed that the high pass filter knob affects the DI output AND the cabinet. I use the HPF to stop the stage boom but want the FOH sound bod to apply or not apply HPF to suit. Quote

Unfortunately, their owner's manual block diagram forgot to include the bottom control, so there's no way to know if it's supposed to be applied in "post" mode. Quote

Expand Too true but the foh will lose the fx eq etc. Fingers crossed a firmware upgrade will allow a bit more control of the hpf routing. 1 Quote

Jo.gwillim Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Have got rather confused with all the presets and options available so have just decided to use it straight as it comes. An amp with a nice compressor, drive, 3 effects built in and a blooming on off switch on the front, not often seen these days! Got it for £350 from bass bros. Well pleased! First gig on Saturday. 1 Quote
Bonin-in-the boneyard Posted February 24 Posted February 24 That's how I use the amp I just set 3 effects that I like And set the memory button To a nice present with reverb For my EUB sounds great 👍 Quote
franzbassist Posted February 24 Posted February 24 I actually use the three preset channels rather than the "front panel". They are all set the same apart from the combination of effects used, ensuring gain and compression remain constant. Quote

Doing it on the panel if you've set a preset what you see on the knobs isn't what you're actully getting. Now whilst gigging i would be far too confused! Quote

Jo.gwillim Posted April 4 Posted April 4 The complication of all the presets hasn't really gone for me, so i use it as it came out of the box, i don't use effects much at all so one of effects I've turned into a 100hz bump control using the parametric eq fx. It really works well with the barefaced 12 inch cabs. Another thing i love is the bluetooth audio, with a super midget cab i can play along with band rehearsal recordings beamed from my phone. I've learned a lot about what eq settings work in the mix, something i never have time to do during rehearsals. 1 Quote

dayo Posted Saturday at 05:14 Posted Saturday at 05:14 Hey Folks , I have just bought this Amp and am expecting delivery next week, Am i right in saying that I can run this through the headphones or as computer interface with no speaker plugged in (without causing any damage) as I have yet to buy a cab. Most of my playing is through headphones at home but will be planning on jamming with friends soon, so will eventually get a cab. Thanks Quote
Jo.gwillim Posted Saturday at 19:18 Posted Saturday at 19:18 It'll be fine without a cab. Have fun! Quote
