What's that effect on the "funk" switch, is it an envelope filter???

I've got one... in fact I did a demo of it on youtube.... just type in funkmachine demo or something. Nice bass, decent tone, lovely flat fingerboard and neck shape.

1:40 with the bridge pickup only and funk switch on - nice sound!

I played one of these in a local music shop a few years ago - couldn't put it down & [i]almost[/i] ended up taking it home... I've subsequently watched a few on Ebay & they don't go for huge sums - I suppose because Cort ain't a hugely fashionable brand.

Well they should be ....I have got two Cort basses, a G series and an A4 Artisan....fantastic basses. !! Just ordered the T74 as well, cant wait.

Which is strange considering they're one of the best brands going inside their price range. If I hadn't picked up my Status I'd have gotten an A4 without a doubt, and my C4 Ltd. is a top class backup/pub gig bass.

That demo video sounds brutally compressed though, ouch.

Bought on ebay for £280, there's a few weird variations on the funkmachine around nowadays. Seen the odd silver one and also a one like mine that doesn't have the TM Stevens logo on the front. I will say however that the settings for the funk switch are really really sensitive...a couple of grub screw thingies on the back. Seriously it's taken me a couple of years to get it right !
