I've got one... in fact I did a demo of it on youtube.... just type in funkmachine demo or something. Nice bass, decent tone, lovely flat fingerboard and neck shape.

1:40 with the bridge pickup only and funk switch on - nice sound!

If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for the bass, you can PM me if you prefer.

I played one of these in a local music shop a few years ago - couldn't put it down & almost ended up taking it home... I've subsequently watched a few on Ebay & they don't go for huge sums - I suppose because Cort ain't a hugely fashionable brand.

Which is strange considering they're one of the best brands going inside their price range. If I hadn't picked up my Status I'd have gotten an A4 without a doubt, and my C4 Ltd. is a top class backup/pub gig bass.

That demo video sounds brutally compressed though, ouch.

Bought on ebay for £280, there's a few weird variations on the funkmachine around nowadays. Seen the odd silver one and also a one like mine that doesn't have the TM Stevens logo on the front. I will say however that the settings for the funk switch are really really sensitive...a couple of grub screw thingies on the back. Seriously it's taken me a couple of years to get it right !
