That's what put my lad off getting one. It nearly doubles the price!
Fil1ip
I have just had a look and postage seems to have gone up and it's now £553!

If I don’t get on with mine when it arrives (in November), I’ll bring it back to the UK with me and your son can have it at cost if he’s still interested then. 1
acidbass
I wonder if replacing the bridge with a Badass or Kickass might be a worthy upgrade. Those stock bridges are quite poor.
BillyBass
For those interested, Sterling seems to have strengthened a little against the dollar, so it currently £319.00 for the bass and £507.11 including shipping, U.S. taxes and UK customs duties. Looks a bit ordinary to me but I do like the look of the 2 new colours for the short scale Sterling Stingrays.
BassApprentice
And there's one for sale. Slight bit of profiteering but not really much you can do since you can't buy them new (as it stands)
neepheid
That actually took longer than I expected, but expected it was.

Weren't going to be for everyone since Dart's tone is normally super compressed so the bass will sound very different in your hands vs his.

Agreed. It makes perfect sense if you can order to an American address. I spend half my year in Dallas with work, so mine is waiting for me when I arrive next week. $425 (£339) makes this a decent buy. I could think of a lot of other basses I’d sooner spend £750 on though. Edited 20 hours ago by tredders

la bam
Something weird about these.... You see them, you immediately want one, you think they're a great deal...... Then you realise it's double money for half the spec of what you have paid for...
