I have always liked Northern soul records but was never into the scene or quite knew what it was, but you just know what moves you.   That said seeing Brotherhood of man on here, I just had to check it out. wow ! What a bass line.

Just checking out the David Essex tune, never seen mention of him on the NS scene.

 

More unexpected tunes than on a lot of the compilations.
