dudewheresmybass Posted May 5 Share Posted May 5 After a fairly average 60/70’s set last week I managed to totally destroy the pup in my 54 squier p As a player that rests my thumb on the pup, it’s obviously too much pressure on the coil. is there any kind of cover available, or some sort of attachment I can place either on or close to the pickup to give me somewhere to place my thumb? any help gratefully received. 😉👍 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Baloney Balderdash Posted May 6 Share Posted May 6 Learn not to apply that much pressure, can't possibly be healthy for your tendons, and there is absolutely no practical reason to do so (if anything it inhibits you of playing properly, or at least optimally). dudewheresmybass Posted May 28 Author Share Posted May 28 the thumbrocker arrived on Saturday, and I installed it for a show on Sunday. Once it's attached (which can be a little tough if you like the pickup low in the body) it works brilliantly In the meantime waiting fir it to arrive, I used a command strip and clear hook in its place, which also worked well Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
