deerhunter113 Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 Hello, I’m thinking of getting the Darkglass alpha omega photon as an all in one solution. I was wondering how easy is it to dial in a clean tone? How does it sound clean? I would be playing without distortion most of the time, so wondering whether there is even any point of buying one. Bigwan Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 Easy pedal to use if you ignore the manual and just watch Amos Heller's video review on Youtube! Sounds really good clean and very easy to set it up to be clean, but I personally went back to separate pedals. I wouldn't put anyone off buying a Photon though, and the Alpha/Omega engine is the nicest drive Darkglass do IMHO. Quote

How come you went back to individual pedals? For me (hobbyist who goes to jam nights couple of times a month), having a single pedal would really simplify things and save space at home. Quote

Because I already had them and could get similar sounds with them. The simplification/space element wasn't an issue for me. Quote
