Compares to the Fender Joe Strummer Telecaster replica, I'd say it's in mint unused condition

Ludicrous price for a dog's dinner of a bass!  There are plenty of Pre EB Rays that are in perfectly good nick and they are cheaper than that.  Why would you pay more to then have to refinish and lose even more money?

Yup. The seller seems to think it's a USP, which it is I suppose, just not a positive one in most people's estimation, I'll wager...

I was thinking the same - it's in amazing condition! I was surprised it's the same price as the other, much more battered example they have for sale. That'll be why!
