eBay - unmolested Westone Thunder Jet low start

Just popped up - all original '84 Westone Thunder Jet bass - even has the original knobs which are one of the first things to go.  These are cracking if kept stock but make excellent modding platforms.  Compared to the Thunder 1A these are passive, generally lighter in weight and have 2 extra frets.  Plus of course the stealth all black satin finish is as cool as.  Start price is low at £50.  Not for me as I am sticking exclusively to shorties now.

It was - thus the model name - Jet as in ‘Jet Black’!

I thought Jet was some sort of reference to speed or noise, not for Whitby based Goths.

Wasn't this the model that came with the (optional) black fretless neck? I knew a guy up here in the late '80s that had one, with the other neck that sat in the case.

No, that was the Spectrum DX or SX or something.

These are great basses, I love mine. The pickup is really punchy.
