Pow_22
So, this is a bit of a strange NAD as i was actually SELLING amps rather than buying but this came up at a decent price and a few Poretti beers later i clicked the BIN button!. I play in a indie and rock covers band, i used flats loaded P's and J's and like a slightly driven/valvey old school tone with a bit of hair to it whilst retaining plenty of bottom end. My recent amp has been the fabulous Ashdown Spyder which i pair with a 4ohm Eden 4x10. Gig day arrived on Friday and in the morning the Mesa Boogie walkabout head landed leaving little time to mess with the settings etc. I chucked it in my car and off to the gig.....WHAT A SOUND! Initially it was a little TOO drivey with a very clanky distortion but i tamed the gain and used the para Mids EQ to add in my bottom end/bloom. For the first time i had comments off the rest of the band on the tone, main one being it was much deeper yet somehow clearer than before. Im still to fully tweak the para EQ asect of the amp as normally im a plug n play kinda guy but i can tell this is going to work so well with the band. The lightweight nature is just an added bonus! Pics to follow and open to suggestions on EQ, hins, tips etc. Edited May 20 by Pow_22
