Folkesy
Hi All, Just picked up a new to me bass. An Ibanez SRX700. It’s a neck thru beast and it’s very nice to play. Can’t seem to find much information on these basses but it’s a great weight and has a lovely tonal pallete and looks amazing. Really pleased with it? If anyone knows more about these, please share 🙏 Edited May 22 by Folkesy

Bassassin
Always liked the look of the SRXes. Think they were intended to be a more metal-oriented take on the SoundGear series - never played one but they look a bit less svelte than the standard light & skinny SRs.

It seems an incredible versatile bass and sounds great plugged in. The build quality is top and I think it looks fab. Really great bass for the £300 spent. jezzaboy
Had one a few years back, weighed as much as a small house! Was that the one from Richtone? It looked in very good nick.

I read that some of them are very weighty.
Rayman
I think Carol Kaye favoured one more recently? Very good basses and a bit undervalued.
Lfalex v1.1
I had one. Was my gigging mainstay for 3 years or so. Never did like the tone that much. I believe I read somewhere that the pickups are in series (presumably each pair of coils) and I think that was the reason. I do regret selling it a bit. Maybe all it needed was rewiring to parallel or a pickup change to something that's parallel (assuming the series piece to be true)
crazycloud
I'd love an SRX705.
