ash Posted May 27 Share Posted May 27 (edited) A modded 40 year old JV Precision hence the lower price. It has been routed for EMG PJ active pickups with a Jazz pickup at the bridge - a classic mod! The bass also has a countersunk Hi-Mass bridge. The bass weighs 4.3kgs and sounds and plays as a good PJ ought to. Classic JV quality in a lovely original fiesta Red finish. All hardware is original other than the mods. There are areas where the paint has been touched up near the neck pocket and bridge and the Jazz rout but nothing drastic. The mods are from the mid 80s when the bass was toured. At one point there was a switch that has since been removed and the hole on the original white scratchplate has a plastic cap over it. I’m selling my long scale basses that have no sentimental attachment owing to issues with my fretting hand. I’m not interested in trades other than shortscale Fender Mustangs or Stingrays. It has a gigbag and I would prefer pickup. Postage not impossible but at buyers cost and UK only. Thanks!
