boabskiboab Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I'm looking for a small practice amp (no bigger than 30w). I want one for ease of portability I often jam with freinds who play acoustics so my bigger fender amp is a little overkill. Any opinions are welcomed. Quote
artisan Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Roland bass cube 30 'nuff said i've got one & it sounds like a much bigger/meatier amp than it has any right too. Quote
Dubs Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 The Roland RX Bass Cube is apparently pretty immense - http://www.imuso.co.uk/ProductDetail.asp?StockCode=EG02775 Quote
GreeneKing Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Roland cube's are great but also not cheap. Mine failed a little while back too but was far from new. I'd say look on here for a small 2nd hand amp and don't limit yourself to 30W but to portability. I use a Warwick Blue 60 and it has a bonus of a line in which is a boon for playing along to my Tascam MP3. Headphone socket and line out too which are all used. Quote
umcoo Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Check out the Orange Crush series...either 20 watt or 35. I have a 20 that's plenty loud over acoustics and it sounds great too. Quote
Hamster Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Line 6 Lowdown 110 - excellent for a combo that's a 12" cube and weighs nothing. http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/product/1545...-110-1x-10.html Quote
