Laminate German double bass - *SOLD* £600 South Essex nr M25

Hi all

 

Here's my laminate German double bass, there's a label inside that says "Made in Western Germany".  

 

It's a fun instrument to play and the sound projects well. I don't know which strings it has, but the tape in the headbox is blue which may indicate manufacture.  

 

As the pictures show, it has it's battle scars, the scroll at the middle of the left side of the headstock is missing. 

 

This is my first double bass and I'd love to keep it, but there's no point in keeping an instrument I can't play at the moment. It hasn't been played that much since it came to me so I'd rather it was put to good use. 

 

Collection only please, my car won't accept this instrument so I can't take it anywhere
