mcgraham Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 (edited) I'm now open to offers. PM me with yours! As per my thread in the general bass discussion forum I've decided to put my basses up in an ad and see what interest there is. This bass is a stock Fender US J-bass (minus the defret/epoxy job - done when I was in Hong Kong by the local pro music store). I carefully picked this one out of about 30 other basses for its tone, then had it defretted a few years later. It is a very smooth sound, nice balance of thick bass with open extended highs from the single coils. Specs are typical for that of a pre-S1 switching model. I think it was produced sometime between 2001 (when I think it was made as I checked the serial number once when I got it) and 2004 (when I actually bought it). I can double check if someone wants me too. Mint condition. This was my first real bass, but I just don't play it anymore. Comes with a hardcase too (albeit with an Apple sticker on the front). What do I want... I'm open to offers and trades. Trade wise I'm interested in guit*r gear, particularly amps. So if you got anything interesting please feel free to drop me a line. Cash price, I'd prefer 600 quid but I understand present economic conditions may mean a lower offer. That's ok! Try me! I can only say no (very politely!) Please also see my other bass for sale: (Geddy Lee 'Custom'). Feel free to PM. Mark Edited May 25, 2010 by mcgraham

mcgraham Posted November 12, 2009 Author Posted November 12, 2009 Still open to offers! For the same reasons as stated on my other thread, I just don't play this bass anymore, so would really like to move it on to a more appreciative home. Please get in touch if you're interested!
mcgraham Posted December 2, 2009 Author Posted December 2, 2009 Bump for update on trades. As I say, got a new fretless coming in, so really could do with shifting this one. Interested in trades for guit*r related gear, particularly amps. Anyone, anywhere,... with anything interesting? Mark
mcgraham Posted January 5, 2010 Author Posted January 5, 2010 Deal fell through on this so back up to the top. Not upset about it, the guy managed to get himself an even sweeter bass so I'm pleased for him
mcgraham Posted January 8, 2010 Author Posted January 8, 2010 Bump. Do get in touch if you're interested! I'd rather someone got the use of this bass seeing as I'm not.
mcgraham Posted January 18, 2010 Author Posted January 18, 2010 I wish I could say I enjoy this waiting game! Bump

mcgraham Posted February 26, 2010 Author Posted February 26, 2010 Bump! Got a few bits of gear I'd quite like to splash out on so a sale would be nice
mcgraham Posted March 8, 2010 Author Posted March 8, 2010 Bump again! Could really do with some cash for this bass. Anyone want to make an offer? Worst I can do is say no!
matski Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 What's that black thing in front of the bridge pickup - and what is it stuck on with...?
mcgraham Posted March 9, 2010 Author Posted March 9, 2010 Good eyes! That is a small ramp, and it's stuck on with double sided sticky tape (de-stickified for easy removal). Easily removable and easily adjustable.
mcgraham Posted March 10, 2010 Author Posted March 10, 2010 If anyone is interested in this bass as well as the Geddy I've got for sale I may be willing to do a deal? Do drop me a line if interested... at all! Mark
