Framus EUB restoration project

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I inherited this Framus from an old friend and mentor who recently died. RIP

It’s full of history and has done some important albums within my Caribbean cultural background.

It was probably neglected due to him not being able to play in his latter years and seems to be attacked by moisture among other things.
Obvious problems include:

*fingerboard has become unstuck from the neck/body

*body wood split/broken (seems like plywood layers)

*metal parts corroded (not too fussed about that but I would like to improve if possible)

*Missing the body support (I’ll contact Warwick about this)

My hope is to restore it to look and play as close as possible to its former glory.

I would appreciate and advice help on this including recommendations for people that could do a great job! 🤞🏾

Many thanks guys.
