Only @jonno1981 got it.

A single G string...0.65 gauge.

What a waste of a box and money.  If there were concerns about damage the string could have been protected by two pieces of cardboard in a A5 envelope.

A single Rotosound string?

While I wasn't specific in the same way as @jonno1981 I think my answer qialifies as correct too.

Besides .65 is only ridiculous if you intend to use it as a G string. It will make a perfectly adequate slightly heavy D-string.

OK there's a lot of space around the contents. But they were just trying to provide plenty of air on a G string.

How much did You paid for that....all together ?

There was a "dead" string in the set. Unheard of with tapewounds - Rotosound were happy to replace it.

Rotosound strings have such a reputation for damaging fretwork, that it had to be packaged so as to protect your letterbox, the delivery van, and the sorting machinery.
