BassKees Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 I'd like to share some pictures of my new custom built Rikkers Powerline. It has a red alder body with a black walnut top, maple neck with a ziricote fretboard, ceramic humbuckers, ABM bridge, Hipshot tuners and a Noll preamp. I couldn't be happier! 12 Quote
BassKees Posted June 12, 2024 Author Posted June 12, 2024 1 thing I changed though. The bass came with Thomastik Jazz Rounds on my request but I found them too thin sounding and too flexible for my playing. I replaced them with D'Addario NYXL's and now it's perfect! Deep sounding, lots of mids and a very brilliant high end. All customizable with the preamp of course. Quote
fretmeister Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 That's lovely! I've never heard of the brand before, that is really nice, and thankfully not just another FSO! 1 Quote
BassKees Posted June 12, 2024 Author Posted June 12, 2024 (edited) The bass is built by Ferdinand Rikkers, you might have seen the Treeline bass he made. Rikkers website Edited June 12, 2024 by BassKees English language version of the website 1 Quote
Muzz Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 Oh my word - that Treeline...I'm gonna guess it'll be plennnnty of money, but stick an EMG P4 in the right position and I'd play that every gig... 1 Quote
velvetkevorkian Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 That is very nice indeed, congratulations! Not always a fan of offset body styles but that looks great. Quote

Rikkers website The Treeline is beautiful! WOW! I already know I can't afford one... but I'm going to buy a lottery ticket now. 1 Quote
BassKees Posted June 15, 2024 Author Posted June 15, 2024 First time live last night. I truly love this bass; excellent playability, great looks and fantastic sound both fingerstyle and slapping/popping! 2 Quote
