£6000

NOW SOLD

PRICE DROP (7/8/24) Now considering offers around £5500

Here we have my Lovaszi 'Stella' double bass that I bought new at Laurence Dixon's Bass Place (London) in 2016. This is a very unusual model as (I believe) it is the only bass Andras Lovaszi has put his name to with 'Busetto' corners.

The bass is 3/4 size with a 41 inch scale length.

The Bass Place website says that the Stella model "is made of maple and spruce aged at least eight years, and carries the top of the range machine heads and endpins from the same German supplier. These have aged varnish."

These basses are fully carved by master craftsmen in Hungary then finished with high quality hardware in the UK.

I used this bass extensively when I was working as a pro musician in London/SE England and it's an absolutely wonderful instrument.

This model has narrow shoulders so the access to the mid/upper range of the bass is fantastic. Would be very suitable for Jazz or tuned to solo tuning. Currently strung with Evah Pirazzi Weich strings which I personally love.

Pickup in person from Leeds and I would highly recommend making the trip to try the bass in person. It sounds as good as it looks!

Offers around 6000 will be considered. NOW 5500
