Geek99 Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 Not just me⦠the house band at my local jam night are so far ahead of me that they are in another galaxy, play anything, any key, swap instruments etc Ā they just did ā Africaā and it wrecked. Geek99 Posted June 13, 2024 Author Posted June 13, 2024 The bass player has a single cut six string fretless and heās ridiculously talented. He told me once he practices 20 hours of every week.Ā Quote
Geek99 Posted June 13, 2024 Author Posted June 13, 2024 Going to suggest āin the midnight hourā as a) a homage to duck DunnĀ b) we have a lady saxophonist so the horn parts are do-ableĀ c) I absolutely love that tune and itās the first one I figured out by ear so itās a huge proud moment for someone as talentless as I amĀ Ā I spoke to the ridiculously talented keyboard player who happens to be the brother of the ridiculously talented bass player about a full-on blues jam next timeĀ if anyone has any killer blues jam endings please let me know (the climbing up the neck to the dusty end eighth note pluck-fest type of thing)Ā Quote
Burns-bass Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 Iāve been to jam nights with killer players and 9 times out of 10, theyāre lovely people. The best part about a band like that is theyāll make you sound good and work to keep the song going. Ā When you play a song you know youāll absolutely storm it. Ā Quote
