neepheid
I've acquired a couple of Wilkinson soapbars, but they came without wiring diagrams. Does anyone know what the wire colours signify? They're black, white, red, yellow. The red and white are soldered together, so that should be the end of one coil and the start of the other. The black seems to be in thicker insulation than the other wires. I'm looking to wire these up with parallel/series/single switching, so I guess it's important to know which is which. I will be able to narrow the wires down to pairs with the multimeter, but how will I know which way round the pairs go? If I go with an assumption like black is hot (I read this in a couple of places with respect to Wilkinson humbuckers) which means that black is hot 2 and the one which passes continuity test with the yellow is hot 1, as long as I do the same for both will it be ok (in phase and all that)? Cheers for that.
