Yeah this. I saw other footage with that same bass player where he has is bass in normal position. Guess he forgot his strap or it broke or something.

I've played my XL2 like that since I bought it new, and I haven't ever played DB. It's the most comfortable fretting hand position (and angle) and it takes up much less space on crowded stages.

Since I play 5s and 6s now, the XT25 has a long strap pin extender to give me my preferred playing angle, and I've modified other full sized bodied basses to get similar.

Absolutely brilliant band, The Peddlers. I know he left the band in the early 1970s (or was forcibly replaced) but anyone know what happened to him? He can’t have just given up playing, he was great 👍
