I had the 6 string version of this and then the fancy amber quilt 5 string, kept looking for something wrong with them as they seemed too cheap but were just very well put together instruments at a crazy price point, albeit with suspect electrics. Stuck an Artec SE2 in the 5er and used it as my backup bass for a couple of years, the original preamp/pots were below par but the pickups were decent.

 

As mentioned the Korean Saein factory built for lots of big brands.
