Keyboard Recruitment For Reggae Band (Backing Deo Favente)

Recommended Posts

Hello there.

I am putting together a band for singer and songwriter, Deo Favente, for live performances to help promote his latest and upcoming album to be released next month with BMG Production Music.
The genre is in a roots reggae style, but we also want a keyboard player who can add other influences to make the band stand out from the typical raw reggae band. You can check out his stuff on Spotify, YouTube etc.

I am currently looking for a second Keyboardist to split the keyboard arrangement part with our other keyboard player, which is:

  • Organ Bubble/Shuffle
  • Rhythm/Chop Piano (that plays with the Rhythm Guitar)

There are some electric piano parts (Rhodes Suitcase or Wurlitzer, Clavinet (with Wah-Wah effect), and the lead melody parts using synths.

Once added to the lineup, you can discuss with our other keyboard player what parts you want to play.

We rehearse at Pirate Studios in Digbeth, Birmingham, on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 6pm-9pm. You will need to bring your own keyboard gear with you to rehearsals.
It is fine if you need your laptop, but if you have a stage piano, that is fine too.

If you are interested, I’ll add you to our band WhatsApp group chat, so that all members can communicate with each other.

We have a Google Drive folder containing the songs, instrumentals and stems for everyone to learn the songs (currently it's 5 songs.)

Let me know if you are interested, and I will add you to the lineup.

Kind regards.
