ras52
Hello, I'm giving some neglected instruments some TLC. For rosewood boards, that includes treating with lemon oil (Dunlop 65). But what about diamondwood? As it's infused with resin it looks pretty non-porous so does it need any treatment at all? TIA...
Rolf
No, it's sealed by the resin so it won't need any treatment. 1
LeftyJ
Not sure about the specific properties of Dymondwood (as is the correct name. It's a registered trademark of the Rutland Plywood Company, but it's no longer being made after their factory burned down in or around 2014). I know Status Graphite does recommend some maintenance for their phenolic resin fingerboards. They recommend using WD40.
