Bought used recently from a fellow BC'er and they're great sounding (and feeling) flats, but I've just got to face the fact that I'm not a 'flats' guy. These are pretty much identical tension to my usual 105 - 45 round wounds so there shouldn't be any need to adjust the truss rod on your bass.

 

One thing to note is that the G string is cut a little shorter than the rest, so you'll probably only get a single wind on the G string tuner - I've had these on for a few weeks now and it hasn't affected the tuning stability in any way on my 34" scale length instrument. Plenty of windings on the other 3 strings though.

 

I don't have the original packaging but these will be well packaged.
