Another compressor thread.... which one should I go for ?

Torn between the DBX 266XL or a Samson S COM. Anyone tried the samson? it's only £89 n all !!

If you are set on those two, the DBX wins it. If you want rack, I like the Focusrite Compounder. Pedal, I like EBS MultiComp.

I do like a bit of a slap and pop but 99% of the stuff I play live doesn't use that so it's purely 'even out the sound' thing.

It's a great pedal... and I'm not just saying that because of my name. I've been through a few compressors and this is the one pedal that stuck out for me. You'll find that you'll leave it switched on most of the time... or tweak it to really squash stuff for slap.
