Newfoundfreedom Posted June 24, 2024 Posted June 24, 2024 "Refurbished". "Recently replaced strings" If the rest of the refurb is as good as the string replacement it's worth about a fiver. Quote
Jack Posted June 24, 2024 Author Posted June 24, 2024 Oh good. I was wondering if I'd somehow been playing bass for over 20 years and not noticed people doing this on the regular. Quote
Dan Dare Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 I suspect the reason for mounting the strings that way was so that he could turn all the tuners in the same direction to raise/lower the pitch. Looks weird, though and is likely to increase wear rate of the nut on the D and G strings, especially if he's using rounds. 1 Quote

Kowad Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 Ok right. I was thinking “what I thought 2+2 headstocks were fairly common on Spector basses in fact don’t I have one upstairs?” 😂 Quote
