Hi all,

Managed to pick up a lovely CIJ 57 reissue while on a trip to Japan (maple board, vintage white). Reduced to £250 because it apparently had a dirty mark (I couldn't see it!). Replaced the 1 ply white pickguard there and then with a 3 ply black one but I’m hankering after a brown tort pickguard (which they didn't have in stock). Does anyone know where I might be able to get one at a reasonable price? Apparently many of the after-market pickguards only fit MIA and MIM precisions...

Any advice gratefully received.

Thanks in advance.

'57s have a different screw pattern to pretty much all other models. I ordered one from the USA, I think it was either dasbootman on ebay or bassguitaoartsresource.com.

Not sure of any of these would fit the bill

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the suggestions. Going to see if I can do a trade with Boabskiboab. Otherwise, I'll look into contacting the Bass Doc and if all fails ordering from the USA as a last resort.

Cheers.

Taking straight lines i have measures the screw holes just as a double check.

See if yours is the same.

Measurements are in mm

side of pickup to top edge of guard is aroung 16mm (between pickup and bridge)
