The ‘What Was the Last Song You Played’ Thread

Recommended Posts

Just a bit of fun. What was the last song you played live, which band, what was the venue and what bass did you play it on?

Heres mine:

Love Machine (Girls Aloud), The Band Isabelle, Bunkers Barn Wedding Venue, Stanbridge on an Inca Silver Classic Vibe Squier Jazz Bass.

Song: Not Ready to Die

Band: Two Tales of Woe

Venue: Bloodstock Festival, Catton Hall

Bass: Actually, it was on a single-humbucker strat I made, but it was tuned down to a very low A, if that helps, into my lovely Fryette Deliverance 60

The last song I played was an extended, audience requested version of Proud Mary as an encore with the Hulla Band at our Hullabaloo festival in Gower. I was playing my Fender P bass through a Zoom B6 straight into the desk with in ear monitors.

Shotgun, George Ezra, with the staff band at my school at Venue Cymru in Llandudno for our Year 11 celebration night. Got a great reception and I'm now the 'master of the bass' because I managed to play it (it's very simple)!

For a change mine was a cover! We did the Dead Kennedys "Moon Over Marin" with Raph on CopyBass and me adding a Magazine "Song From Under The Floorboards" feel.

This was at Percy's, Whitchurch.

And he played his Squire Jazz through  Sansamp and Trace Elf into Bitsa 4x10 cab, I used my ACG Recurve into Helix with a very slightly overdriven and heavily compressed and gated patch into ancient Marshall Jubilee head and huge Mesa 2x15 cab. Worked surprisingly well.
