Darkglass Microtubes v2 500watt head

I am looking to buy the Darkglass V2 Microtubes 500 watt head, but i have read some comments by owners about reliability and QC, being the DI out is noisy and overheating due to the fan not coming on, are there any owners to confirm or deny this? Are these problems very occasional, i know negatives sometimes get the better?

I had an A/O 900 head ( obviously different version to yours )with a 2 x12 cab …best set up I ever had ..really regret moving it on ..never missed a beat ..I guess all manufacturers have duff products..I’ve just had to send my GK legacy back ..it’s 5 months old !

I've read about problems with the 500W models too - but none about the 900W ones.

 

Personally I'd get the bigger one for peace of mind.
