For sale: an RCF ART 735-A active speaker. Selling due to unexpected upgrade.

£325 collected from Bristol. I reduced the original price of £345 as the cover is in worse condition than I realized.

+£14 for courier within the UK.

This is a two-way, flat-response, active speaker which reproduces the tone of your instrument (and pedals/preamps) faithfully and at high volume. I've used it with bass guitar and upright bass.

The star of the show is the compression driver, which has an unusually large 3" voice coil. This allows the crossover to be quite low, at 900Hz. (For comparison, a Barefaced Big Baby crossover is around 2kHz.) This means the 15" woofer is freed up to concentrate on only the frequencies below 900Hz. The end result is that this speaker goes very loud without ever losing any low end.

The dispersion is also very good – 90º x 60º – so you'll hear the bass well wherever you are.

Cosmetically, it's in good condition with just a few light marks.

I'll include a power cable and an old RCF fitted cover - in poor condition though, with a broken zip, but good to protect the speaker in transit.
