G Aichele Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 New here, been playing bass for 10 years. But I've enjoyed music and played various instruments my whole life. I play a Schecter Banshee 30" scale (LaBella flats) into an Ampeg SGT-DI, GSS Sumo, and then Barefaced Super Compact. I play with a small band, otherwise acoustic, all retired and playing for fun. I'm 80 and confined to a wheelchair. Quote
G Aichele Posted July 13, 2024 Author Posted July 13, 2024 We mostly play the music that was popular in the US when we were young -- rock, r&b, a bit of jazz from the 50s through the 70s. Since we play mostly to senior centers, senior residences, etc. it's also the music of their youth. 2 Quote
Richard R Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 Sounds excellent to me - play the music you love to people who also love it and wouldn't hear it live anywhere else. 👍 1 Quote
Ol Grey Bear Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 Welcome G. I just joined tonight and am also a full-time wheelchair user like yourself. All the best. Bear/Dani 2 Quote
