Wilcock Mullarkey - On Hold - *SOLD*
£1950
Stoke-on-Trent

Recommended Posts

Up for sale is my Wilcock Mullarkey. I had this built a couple of years ago and it's a very cool bass. Built to the same spec as Tim Lefebvre's (schaller bridge, gotoh tuners) it's a wonderfully resonant and detailed hand crafted instrument. The only reason I'm selling is because I need the funds for a different type of bass. It's got a very nice flamed maple neck and is currently strung with DR sunbeams (sounds killer with flats too!). It's in immaculate condition as it's mainly been used in the studio with some very occasional live use, I can't find a single mark on it.

Other spec includes - 30 inch scale length, master tone, master vol and pickup selector, 2 custom armstrong pickups, comes with a standard tweed hardcase.

Looking for £1950 collected,

There's a few videos of me playing it on here: https://www.instagram.com/alexphillipsbass/

SOLD

With the schaller 3d bridge, the string spacing should be fully adjustable.

Exactly right. If I had the money, this is the spec I would have, right down to the colour.

I had ordered exact same specs last year from Viv Wilcock but had to cancel order six months ago due to some unexpected large medical bills. Now I am beyond those bills, I recently paid for a Serek shortie but would have jumped on this had it been a few weeks earlier. Timing is everything!

GLWYS!!!!

Same here! Been actively looking for a Mullarkey in this exact configuration for a while. Thinking it wouldn't come up any time soon, I settled for a natural colour one that was on sale just a week or two ago. I should have waited for this!!! Whoever takes it will not regret it

There is some kind of crazy Internet magic, or Google _really_ knows me better than myself.

Scrolling my youtube feed I randomly click a YT short of a guy playing a Wilcock Mullarkey. I love the look of that specific bass and the tone and wonder what it would take to get one just like that. I start googling Mullarkey basses. Independently I come on Basschat, see a Mullarkey bass for sale only to realise it was your very bass I just randomly watched in that video that got me interested in looking for one for sale in the first place! If I could I would, GLWTS!

What type of bass are you after, if you don't mind me asking, and does this mean trades are an option?

Good question, I probably should have been more specific! I’m pretty set on a 5 string stringray special with a maple board - needs to be lightweight. Other than that I’m not really looking for trades.

Sadly I don't have the trade you are after and I would have to move on my Serek 'The Grand' to pay for your lovely bass. So please take this as a bump from me and GLWYS!
