PM Error

It told me I had to wait a few minutes to send another PM? Does anyone know what this is all about? I tried it a few times but it didn’t work.

I sent a PM after 11:53 and went to send another one but it just happened again. Look at the time it's telling me I can't send another PM until and my clock in the bottom right hand corner - only about 5 minutes difference. Anyone know why this is happening?

No prizes for guessing what’s just happened when I’ve sent a PM after 12:03 and gone to send another…

Ok this keeps happening – has my account been limited so I can only send 1 PM every 10 minutes or something?

I think it's a way of stopping spambots, mine is doing it too.

That would make sense. I can see how it can be useful in those circumstances, but it’s so annoying if you’re trying to send a few PMs in a short space of time.

yeah that could be very annoying, is this the best solution to stop pm spam? Wouldnt 30 or 60 seconds be enough?

It is indeed to stop spambots, and the lesser of 2 evils for now.

It was today. Less spambots are getting through the capcha, so people are registering accounts first, and then putting a spambot/PM script on it.

Not had any PM spam but that 1 minute is more reasonable, thanks.

I'm sure the spambots would opt not to PM the administrators and moderators groups for obvious reasons .

Never got spam, but it seems that every PM I send is within a minute of another...

Yep, this has been bugging me a lot recently: been buying a few things and keep getting blocked for PMs. 1 minute's not too bad though..
