What are the views on La Bella black nylon flat wound strings?

I know absolutely nothing about bass strings🫤 but do like the look of these and thinking of fitting to a short scale bass.

I had the LaBella Black Nylon Tapewound strings on a few of my fretless basses and I absolutely loved them. I've moved on to Rotosound Swing 66 Nickel Rounds now but I'd happily have them again.

I preferred the white ones for feel, and they are a little brighter.

Still very nice strings though.

I preferred the white or gold tapes but the black tapes do the job just as well.

I was not a fan, I like the Rotosound and Daddario tapes but when I tried the Labellas I found my bass got absolutely buried in the mix, literally none of my notes were distinguishable, embarrassingly I found this out when I went to a jam night on the same night that I changed my strings, the one event where you are completely relying on your ears.
