Could be anything - Ernie Ball, DR, old Dunlops, SIT.

If they feel coated could be Elixirs, they use brass ends for their nickel rounds.

If all the ball ends are all the same colour then they could be La Bella. They put little plastic slidey things over the strings to show which is which rather than different coloured ball ends.

You've got little chance with that broad a description - I've just taken a set that resemble that description off a £150 POS bass - you can bet the stock strings were some no-name bulk purchased nonsense.  They could be almost anything.  Sorry.
