Good make? Found a seemingly great, gorgeous bass on evilbay for around £750 inc. shipping from America for someone.. unfortunately not me as I'm LH!

Made in Canada, Excellent reputation, although I've never tried one myself. The web site's pretty crap, but have a look around and you'll see some nice instruments.

I played quite a few Lado's many years ago (about 25 actually!) at the Frankfurt Music Messe trade fair. Great instruments, really good build quality.
