Johnnyguru
Anyone got a Chowny swb1 fretless? Are there any images and reviews? Thanks 👍
LeftyP
Is Chowny still on the go? Their website does not appear to have been updated for some time and their last blog was May 2018. Can't find anyone who has hem in stock.
Johnnyguru
I have been in touch with Chowney and they are having long delays at the factory, so yeah still going. Looking forward to getting one later this year🤞

Chownybass
Yes. Still going. Although have had to scale operations WAY back and are building back up again.

TheRev
I had a SWB fretless for a couple of years, it's now with @3below. Its a great bass - I couldn't fault the build quality, components, finish or sound. Ultimately, I found the neck too shallow for my personal tastes, and I have three double basses, so kinda got the fretless thing covered.... If I didn't have a bass space limit then it would still be hanging on my wall.

It is still in my possession and I like @TheRev I fully endorse the build quality, hardware, finish and sound, you also get the bonus of an ebony board. I have a fretted one as well and the same comments apply. Both of these are the Indian built versions. There is very little difference in the build quality of these and my late 80s USA G&L SB-1. The neck reminds me more of a Jazz bass neck than P bass, I have small hands, I could imagine it seeming 'small' if you had very large hands.
