Band name suggestions please....

Recommended Posts

My new band is at the pre-gig 'what shall we call ourselves?' stage, so I'm after some Basschat collective wisdom for ideas.

The general style is really laid back, funky versions of soul/90s R&B/pop tracks.  Waaay outside my previous experience.

Some of the set list tracks are:

Here's a clip from last night's rehearsal to give you an idea of style.

For those of you like me, who will be wanting to know - Sandberg Cali VM5 -> HX Stomp -> Ashdown RM 500 -> GR Bass 2 x 10.

All ideas welcome, they've got to be better than mine!

Cheers,

Andy

“Covert”

”Reissue”

on the same train of thought

Anton, Bill, Murph & Victor

Since you're playing covers you'll never do headline tours or sell records so the name just needs to set you aside from all other coverbands. You can replace the names with your own but if anything it'll be less rememberable (as a gimmick). Keep them in alphabetical order though, it pleases the OCD crowd.

GrooveHeart, GrooveHeartBeat, something along those lines. However, I will also proffer my usual suggestion, from Tony Levin’s list of unused band names - Post Burrito Depression.
