Mickyk
I am new to using separate Amps and Cabs I've always used Combo's so i thought i'd ask you guys. I recently purchased an Ashdown RM500 Evo II and i'm in the frame for purchasing an LFSys Monza cab. so I've bought these to connect them together however I've since found that there are two types of cable. One being an NL2 Two pole and other being the NL4 pole i didn't know this. Anyway i have purchased the NL2 ones, my question is will they be okay to use with the Amp. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/126141228108

Almost all amps use the 4 pin SpeakOn connectors that will mate with either the NLRL2 or NL4/RL4 cable connectors. At this time of night I cannot remember whether the Rean SpeakOns are available as 2 pin RL2. Edited August 2 by Chienmortbb Typo

BassmanPaul
ALWAYS buy the four pole version of the SpeakOn it matches the sockets that are undoubtedly mounted on your cabinet and amplifier. The difference in price is minuscule!

The difference in price is minuscule! You only need 4-pole for specialist applications. My PA amp needs to be used with 4-pole connectors only when in bi-amp mono mode which uses the built in crossover to send high and low channel output to a sub that then passes the high output on to the tops. A 2-pole will work with any setup unless it is explicitly designed to bi-amp over a single cable. If you buy 4-pole for an ordinary setup the spare conductors are unused and just extra weight to carry around. BassmanPaul
Thing is that using the same plug as socket used is better all around. I tried using the 2 pole plugs but I just found them clunky. YMMV.
