Tone sock

I wonder if my rudimentary playing would benefit from an Alan Partridge style "ice white sock with navy blue double cadet stripe"?

The yellow adds brightness while orange is famous for rich midrange.

Mine has an extra hole in it though. Got sound leaking out of it.

I was gratified to see that his signature bass also ships with a personalised tone sock in the case. I can respect a man who persuaded them to budget that into the build costs.

At a gig once, I took off a sock and rolled it up tight to use as a bridge mute as I'd lost my foam. Worked a treat.
