That's been done intentionally rather than being broken off.

 

I wonder if they saw Bassassassin's Rick-a-like build thread from a couple of years back and decided to chop up the real thing 🤔

Yeh, I'm wondering about those holes. Looks like they could have been made for a plinth.

I bought a 70s Fender J headstock (came with tuners) to hang on my wall 😆
