HazBeen Posted August 6, 2024 Posted August 6, 2024 (edited) So my mate has this Warmoth Strat neck, and wanted a body with just 1 neck pickup and hardtail bridge. Needs to be light, just wants an oil finish …… and importantly wants to do all the sanding and finishing himself. Those happen to be my least favourite activities…. So said sure… I ordered some White Limba, I quite like that as a body wood. Very close to alder in tone (also relatively soft) but with nicer grain. The entire process only took a few hours, so just posting a few pics of “my bit”, and will post once my mate has finished things. Edited August 6, 2024 by HazBeen 10 Quote
HazBeen Posted August 6, 2024 Author Posted August 6, 2024 Anyway, I routed the pickup / control cavity and neck …. Now up to him to finish. The logo is laser engraved - such a great way to get a nice logo. 3 Quote
HazBeen Posted August 29, 2024 Author Posted August 29, 2024 Well, he finished it…. Waiting on some chrome bits, but he did a good job so my effort of building him a body was not wasted. 4 Quote
Si600 Posted August 29, 2024 Posted August 29, 2024 Why did he want a single pickup so high up? It looks a bit odd to my eyes, but then, it's not my guitar, so tough! Quote

So he basically wanted to just have a guitar with just the single …. I obliged Wouldn’t be my choice, but hey ho… 1 1 Quote
