Laney RB1 Metal Grille Removal

Picked this up at a local car boot sale today, looks to have gotten damp at some point but figured it was worth a punt for beer money!

 

To my surprise it's working fine, but there's a fair of white mold on the wood around the speaker. I'd like to get in there and clean it up with some white vinegar...

 

I've taken the front cover screws off but the cover is stuck down well. Is there a knack to getting these off?
