Burns-bass Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 I just picked up a really lovely old Musima bass which will do for my indoor and outdoor gigs. However, the fingerboard is err, a bit rank! I’m going to swap the strings so I can clean it then. What would you recommend I use to do so? Appreciate it. Quote

TheRev Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 If it's heavy gunk, then isopropyl alcohol (isopropanol) followed by lemon oil. 1 Quote

NickA Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 How far does 9ml go? I'll stick to vodka, that's £12 a litre not £50 ...and you can drink what's left, if you're desperate😁. Quote

Expand It’s more or less wipe on wipe off so no. You do not need to slather it on and make sure you do wipe it off and buff lightly after a short time. The lustre from the finger boards is lovely. 1 Quote
