Translucent white lacquer road worn the proper way...as in..used and played. Its is by no means pristine but plays beautifully, brilliant neck and the Aguilars are great pickups. Wear in the finish comes in the form of some lacquer cracks (not the wood, just the lacquer) on the bottom bout and some lap wear. See pics. The neck is unmarked and unworn, action is the best i have on any of my basses ( and i have a few...). Zero fret. Carbon wrapped scratchplate (better colour than the original imho..but easily removed if needed) Great sounding, great playing Pro level instrument at the price of a sire or the like.
