Leonard Smalls Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 I've recently joined our old guitarist to form a new funky slightly jazzy blues band, we'll be doing mainly originals and so far have me on bass, Jonny on guitar and Chris on drums, and possible female singer if she thinks we're good enough (she's got a degree in music performance). So it's inevitable band name time. So far we've got: The LD7 (postcode!) The JP4 Craven Black Cat The Gitanes But we're not convinced. Suggestions for better names? Quote
super al Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 As you mentioned jazzy I shall go with the Leo Smalls Quintet...and keep the audience guessing 🤔 Other than that, I'm in my garden so Moroccan Round Table Quote

meterman Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 The New Fray Bentos Jazz Orchestra? The Smooth Jazz Riot Police? Onions? Cat Poo Jazz Bags? Smell My Jazz? Bifter, featuring Felicity Kendal? Grifter, featuring Geoff Capes? The Porcupine Jazz Quartet? Topol & The Jazz Roofers? Schnorbitz Jazz Club? Blimming heck, naming jazz outfits isn't easy is it? Can't you get a female lead singer in the band and call yourselves Heather Report? Or The Jacqui Pastorius Big Band or something? Quote

Or perhaps, The Roll Ups... Quote
